Pastor Stanley Maurice Roberts

 

Elder Stanley M. Roberts is the youngest of six children born to the union of Willie B. and Alice Roberts in Williamston, NC. Upon graduating high school, Elder Roberts served his country in the US. Army as a Medical Supply Specialist, in which he traveled around the country.

Elder Roberts begin his christian journey as a devout member of Davenport Temple COGIC for 20 yrs. While servicing at Davenport Temple, he served in various roles such as; Deacon, Church Administrator, Men's Conference Secretary, and Special Assistant to Bishop Leroy J. Woolard, in addition he counseled married couples and young men.

 

Elder Roberts accepted his call into the ministry in December 2009 and was ordained an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, in February 2012, by Bishop Leroy J. Woolard, prelate of the Greater NC Jurisdiction. He was appointed pastor of Good Shepherd on January 28th 2015. Despite his short tenure he has done several great things to improve the church.

Today Elder Roberts resides in Greenville, NC with his wife of 21 years, Evangelist Pamela L. Tucker-Roberts and their two sons David & Daniel. He is a 2014 graduate of the Greater NC COGIC Academy where he received  Magna cum Laude distinction. He is employed as a Employment specialist with Diversified Opportunities and is currently attending Liberty University to obtain a Bachelor degree in Pastoral Counseling.
